The churches in the Romford Methodist Circuit exist to help people find and follow Jesus in an ever changing world

Thank you for visiting the website.  We hope that you will find these pages useful and we warmly invite you to join us for worship at any of our churches.  Each of our churches works to make the love of God known and to share the Good News of the Gospel through worship and witness and through the work the members do within their local communities.

Romford Methodist Circuit is moving into two clusters based (East and West) Team Ministry from September 2018.  The Circuit Leadership Team, ministers and lay representatives, are jjointly responsible for overseeing the life and work of the Methodist churches under the team ministry.  Team Ministry - A Guide can be viewed by clicking here.

The churches in the Romford Circuit exist to help people to find and follow Jesus in an ever changing world.  Our aim is to be a Christ-centred welcoming Circuit, reaching out to the community, encouraging followers of Christ and demonstrating God’s love in such a way that others cannot ignore it.

The Romford Circuit has eleven churches and a team of 4 ministers assisted by 4 supernumerary ministers and a team of lay workers and local preachers.

It is with sadness that the Methodist Church in Britain today, (Tuesday, 17th March 2020) advised all Methodist Churches in the UK suspend services and church meetings, in line with Government advice.  All the Churches in the Romford Circuit will follow this advice with immediate effect.  We regret that we have had to close all our church buildings immediately and we formally announced here that all our public worship services in our buildings are suspended until further notice.  We have not taken this decision lightly, but we must avoid spreading the Coronavirus unnecessarily. This applies to all our weekday activities, Saturday and Sunday services and meetings and events.  Superintendent Pastoral Letter March 2020

During this difficult time, various churches are making efforts to “meet” for worship and prayer and for information, you should look first to the Methodist Church website In addition, some churches are broadcasting services through YouTube either by live streaming and recorded services. Wesley’s Chapel is doing both and these can be sourced by clicking here.  Central Hall Westminster is also live streaming (Click Here).  Some of our local churches will be trying to do similar things and we shall try to keep you updated through links on the Contact Us Page.  Over the Easter weekend, there will be Circuit meditative services through Facebook Romford Circuit and Friends
